Bio

Jean has jammed and studied with some of the great vocalists of our time including Kitty Margolis, Kurt Elling, Madeline Eastman, Kevin Mahogany, and Mark Murphy.   In addition to these great teachers, some of her largest influences have been Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis, Joni Mitchell, and Peter, Paul and Mary. 

Her musical debut was at the age of 2 when she mesmerized her parents and their friends with her a cappella rendition of "I Saw Her Standing There."  Determined to make music, she wrote her first songs at the age of 10, and in the 7th grade she co-wrote and produced a 30 minute musical called "Mayonnaise and Raw Eggs."  Currently Jean is playing with screamin' cats such as John Mazzei, Anton Schwartz, Vince Lateano, John Wiitala, Dan Feiszli, Jeff Buenz, Jason Lewis, John Clark, and John Shifflett.  Everyone is lovin' it and having a great time on gigs.

Booking info

Jean will sing at your function, whether it's a  wedding, private party, or a self-defined event to be named later.  She performs jazz (check out her song list) with a trio of piano, bass and drums.  You may want to consider adding a horn or vibraphone, or strip it down to voice/guitar, voice/piano.  You decide!  She's flexible (must be the yoga). Rates vary depending on the configuration so don't be shy!  She works with your budget so everyone ends up happy!

Jean also loves to sing during your service.  Pick a song from her extensive wedding list, or choose one of your own.  Given enough lead time, she will sing "your song" to make your wedding extra special.  Service rates are on a per song basis.  She can provide experienced instrumentalists for you as well.
